Riding Monkey Tour

This Motorcycle themed comedy tour is a full throttle and seriously twisted event. Where ever the highway meets a venue the Monkey’s travel. The Debut tour

was a great success and the show dates are growing. With the majority of events selling out on the first year, the 2012 season is seeing a lot of repeat venues as you can never get to much monkey. Up the coast from California to Washington, then over To Montana and down to Las Vegas we put on nearly 3,000 miles.

Story from the road: Evel’s grave was quite amazing, but in contrast nobody in Butte had anything good to say about him. It’s very interesting for a man to be held in such esteem by a world population and to find out that he was rather ornery.  His headstone was made when

he was preparing for the Snake River jump; he didn’t think he would survive. No matter what people think about you it’s pretty awesome to have a rocket ship on your grave, not to mention the fortitude to face death.

Crashing: Bronston hit some wildlife on his Harley, it was a small deer but big enough to take out the front wheel and to send him skidding for a few hundred feet. He was rather unhurt for the speed he was traveling. Except for his left thumb, which we thought to be dislocated. That meant he had to get a u-haul and transport for a few days as his thumb healed and he was unable to clutch. Upon his return to California he found out he had shattered the bone right below the joint, which means he had to have surgery and was set to be in a cast for 4 weeks.

We had good weather for most of the tour, a few splashes of rain but nothing serious. In contrast we did have some very hot days reaching nearly 110degrees Fahrenheit in the Nevada desert and that made riding a little uncomfortable. It was the hottest days that were our longest days as we traveled 8 hours through Idaho and 12 hours from Twin Falls to Las Vegas, which nearly cooked us alive. It was all good fun!

Good times, Good People and lots of time to reflect on the world.
